Aloha ULS Parents and Guardians of Students in Grades K-8,
The packet contains information and an application for the second annual Keiki Rainbow Run, sponsored by Kaho`omiki and coalition of community partners. This fun and educational event will be on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the University of Hawaii, Mānoa Clarence T.C. Ching Track. The event features an untimed, 1.5-mile run for students and their families. 100% of keiki registration fees will go directly back to our school.
The start and finish will be on the Clarence T.C. Ching track and field. Following the run, each keiki participant will receive a t-shirt, refreshments, and can enjoy the post-run activities at the Healthy Keiki Fair. Adult participants do not receive a t-shirt, but can order one for an additional fee (see the registration form for adult shirt order). As the goal is to support kids in making healthy choices, refreshments will include nutritious snacks and water, not a sugary beverage.
Take the first step and register to participate. Please complete the registration form, enclose or attach the payment (checks payable to: Kaho`omiki), and return to the school’s main office by Monday, February 24th. Our school coordinator, Mrs. Tassill, will process the registrations and pick up the race packets for all of our student participants and families. Then, during the week of March 23, we will send home the Keiki Rainbow Run race packet(s) with your child during homeroom.
The Keiki Rainbow Run is proudly sponsored by a community partnership of non-profit organizations, public agencies, businesses and schools. We appreciate your support and applaud your participation in this fun community event.
This is an optional activity, but we encourage you to consider participating.
