Over the President’s Day weekend, students from ULS’ Global Leadership elective went to Kaua‘i as part of the SEL Innovation Award grant. On Kaua‘i they teamed up with students from Kailua High School to learn more about youth leadership, mentorship, and improving social and emotional health. As part of the experience, students visited a number of scenic sites on the island and participated in cooperative learning activities. Thank you to Ms. Cruz, Global Leadership teacher, for organizing this wonderful trip and to Ms. Skiles and Mr. Nehl for chaperoning our students.
