On Thursday October 24th, ULS students in grades 3-5 participated in the Junior Judges Program. This program is run by the Young Lawyers Division of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Volunteer lawyers visit schools to discuss with students about how to be an upstander in tough situations and how to solve problems that they may face at home or at school. Our students met lawyers Ron Tang and Daniel Padilla (ULS parent and former ULS orchestra teacher) and participated in lively interactive discussions. At the end of the session, each student earned a Junior Judges certificate and pencil! This program helped to support our social emotional learning goals as students continue to learn how to better deal with life’s challenges.
