Before the Christmas holiday, the girls varsity basketball team flew to Japan to play basketball and experience Japanese culture. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of the girls. While there they competed against elite basketball teams from Japan and learned a lot about dedication and execution of the game. Other highlights included sightseeing, enjoying the local cuisine, visiting with other students and learning more about Japanese customs. “There are no words to explain how appreciative we are for this opportunity. We are aware of all the hard work and time that it took to get us to Japan. If it weren’t for our coaches, administration, families, the support from the booster club, and all our donors, none of this would be possible. We are thankful and grateful to everyone who gave us this opportunity and memories that we will remember forever.”
