ULS highschool orchestra and band students attended a presentation put on by ARTolerance founder Udi Bar-David on Thursday, November 14th. ARTolerence is an international organization whose mission is, “to advance the role of art dialogues, transcend communication boundaries and explore common ground through performances, events, conferences and workshops.” ULS students learned about how music can play a significant role in breaking down barriers in order to bring people of diverse cultures and backgrounds together in unity. Art and music are vital components of the ULS academic program and this presentation supports our goal of continuing to provide our students with unique one-of-a-kind learning experiences.
On top of the visit, our ULS cello students in grades 6-12 were fortunate enough to attend a workshop with Mr. Bar-David, a renowned cellist.
