ULS Admissions Information Meeting- Saturday, October 22 at 9am in the Multi-Purpose Building
The University Laboratory School (ULS) is a free, K-12 public charter school. Our charter school serves two interlocking missions: to design and deliver the best possible education to our own students, and to serve the educational research and development community as a seedbed for innovation.
Students are selected by lottery to create a student body evenly distributed by gender that reflects the ethnic distribution of Hawai‘i, and includes a broad range of student academic achievement and family socioeconomic levels, from kindergarten through grade 12.
All students engage in a challenging comprehensive curriculum that includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, performing arts, physical education and foreign languages in non-segregated classes and graduate ready for college, work, and responsible citizenship.
ULS students have scored the highest in 11th grade ACT scores, graduation rates, and college matriculation as compared to all public schools in the state. ULS has a 100% on-time graduation rate and a 96% college going rate on the most recent Strive HI reports for Hawaii Public Schools.
The application period opens on October 17 and closes on January 17, 2017 for grades Kindergarten and grade 6 and March 31, 2017 for other grade levels. Application materials and timelines are available on the school website (www.universitylaboratoryschool.org/ See Admissions page) or by calling the school admissions line (808-956-7844).
