University Laboratory School Distracted Driving Simulator Event – 02/03/2016 (Wednesday)
Do you know what ‘Distracted Driving’ is? Using a mobile device when driving can be more than dangerous; it can be deadly.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in 2013, 3,154 people were killed, and an estimated 424,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver. Thus, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation is making great efforts to educate and raise awareness about Distracted Driving. These efforts include a new, state-of-the-art digital simulator to realistically portray the serious implications of distracted driving.
Please join us during lunch on Wednesday, February 3rd (in the courtyard) to experience our highly interactive digital simulator and learn more about how to be a safe and responsible driver.
