|Spanish II||Dania Hill||11|
This second year course is designed to refine and expand the knowledge and skills acquired during the Spanish I course. The Foreign Language Standards or the five C’s will be the mode for teaching and learning. Second Language learning emphasizes: Communication, Culture, Communities, Comparison and Connection. Emphasis will be placed in developing fluency and accuracy of the language for interpersonal communication. Cultural practices will be investigated to promote appreciation and understanding of oneself and others.
The University Laboratory School's Second Language department is committed to equip our students linguistically and culturally to communicate in this pluralistic society where they live and later where they work.
We encourage our students to maintain proficiency and fluency in their mother language and in the second language they have chosen to study.
